Studio Policy & Classroom Rules

1. Please arrive no more than 10 minutes before your scheduled class time.

2. Please do not enter while classes are in session.

3. Classes are closed for viewing to avoid disruptions.

4. Pull hair back out of face. Please do not wear Fancy bows or jewelry during class.

5. All students should go to the rest room before class to avoid disruptions.

6. No Chewing Gum Allowed!

7. Rewards will be given to students who participate during class. Disruptive students will be placed in time out.  
8. If you need to discuss anything with the teacher, please set up an appointment or give us a call.

9. Are you going to be absent? Please give us a courtesy call. Attendance is vital to encourage a structured learning process. Private lessons are available at a discounted rate for make ups.

10. Parents need to circle around the parking lot, forming a line, so that passenger door is facing studio door. A teacher will escort each student to their car. This does not apply to students who still in car seats.

11. PLEASE BE PROMPT IN PICKING UP YOUR CHILD. All students are required to remain inside the building, while waiting to be picked up by the parents. DWJ does not allow loitering at any time. Children should be accompanied by an adult at all times on the premises inside and outside. If your child’s class is the last class of the evening and the instructor has to wait for you to pick up your child, you will be charged $5 per 15 minutes to pay for the instructor’s time.

12. DWJ follows the Russellville School District during Inclement Weather. If class is cancelled we will schedule a make-up class at our discretion.

13. ATTENDANCE: Dance With Joy reserves the right to have students who come late to class to sit out the class. A minimum tardiness and absence level is required to participate in performances. Students who miss classes are responsible for scheduling a private make-up lesson at a discounted rate. Students missing more than 4 classes after January will not be allowed to perform.

14. Private Lessons require 24 hours cancellation notice to be rescheduled for make up.

15. DWJ reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher if needed.

16. All packages and gift certificates expire 12 months from the purchase date.
