The coronavirus pandemic has forced universities to change-over to distance learning. essay on service marketing thesis statments custom essay service reviews.
But what is happening now can be called an special delivery of content to audience members in self-isolation . Many varsities and the teachers themselves were not ready for the move to online. According to a 2019 HSE study, University professors with an academic degree rate their level of proficiency in remote technologies at 3.2 points out of five. One in four persons has never utilized remote video services get in webinars or video conferences in the past three years.
But professors are not required to own online learning technologies. They were simply not ready for this, although education and its modern methods are the main function of universities. Try to oblige the surgeon to do their work from home. Let him explain to the patient via Skype how to remove his appendicitis. It sounds absurd. Thus, the resourcefulness with which professors adapt to the remote format is commendable.

Sometimes it gets funny. Colleagues from regional varsities told that some teachers asked to write abstracts by hand and send them scans for according.Nowadays, people communicate remotely in real time thanks to digital technologies, students can "raise their hands" with one button, they can write with a finger on a tablet as on a blackboard, and they are told: "Please write a handwritten summary and send the scan." Or, for example, this case: a physical education teacher asked students to shoot five-minute videos where they show physical exercises. In spite of the fact that remote physical education training can be more unique, for example, you can do selection of ready-made videos on YouTube, find checklists in the popular domain, and teach them to play sports at home, while you can't go outside anywhere.

University teachers are faced with a lack of guidance and difficulties in dealing with organizational matters. Someone conduct lessons on Skype, someone -in Zoom, someone only sends tasks to WhatsApp. Some teachers record lectures on a webcam and send them to students. The quality of such materials is insufficient, and it is hard to perceive them. At least because the content on YouTube, which students are used to, is shot and edited professionally and the viewer is spoiled by the quality of video materials.
There are also problems with monitoring attendance. Some educators ask you to put a " + " in the chat, others require you to turn on Webcams and take screenshots of students. Against the background of all the misunderstandings and troubles, one element of academic life remains unchanged - assessment. Students don't get an educational experience on campus, but they will get grades, even formal ones.

Online learning does not have these disadvantages, because it is built on a carefully designed learning process in an electronic information and educational environment. Professors have instructions, manuals, memos, checklists, templates for emails and notifications, and even presentations. Everything is thought out here-from the screen saver before the lesson to the slide with homework.

I have taken the yoga/pilates fusion class withJoy every week for over two years. She is a fantastic teacher and her studio is very welcoming and comfortable - I often bring friends and out-of-town guests with me to take the class as well. I love that the classes are small and you get very individualized attention and instruction. I started out at a very basic, beginner's level in both yoga and pilates and I was able to improve greatly over the months and become a lot stronger and a lot more in shape. The class focuses a lot on stretching, flexibility and building strength and endurance. I was able to continue taking this class at Joy's studio throughout my entire 9 month pregnancy. Joy very knowledgeably helped me change my yoga practice to accommodate the physical limitations of pregnancy. The classes absolutely helped to keep me and my baby healthy and relaxed. I would definitely recommend this class and Joy's studio to anyone interested in physically feeling better at any stage of their life.

Over a year ago I decided to try a yoga/pilates class at Arkansas Tech with my husband. I had no idea what to expect, but I found out really fast I had very little abdominal strength. Developing some core muscles became a fitness goal. We continued with the yoga/pilates/fit-ball fusion class at Dance With Joy Studio, and I added the callanetics class as well. I appreciate the individual attention that Joy gives her students, since she limits her class sizes. She stresses proper form for the various exercises we do, to both prevent injuries and get the most benefit from the exercises. She is very good at modifying any exercise if you have certain limitations, while still challenging your comfort zone. She changes the yoga/pilates routine every week, but no matter what we do, we always get a great workout and leave feeling relaxed. The Callanetics routine is an intense workout that doesn't vary much, but I can tell I am toning some muscles. If you are looking for a long-term fitness routine, I highly recommend these classes!

Joy's yoga/pilates class has exceeded my expectations. Joy is skilled at keeping the class fun and challenging. Participatin gin this class has increased my flexibility and core strength. Flexibility and core strength are areas that other exercises, such as aerobic exercises and weightlifting, do not address. Having strong core muscles and maintaining flexibility go a long way in preventing future injuries. Although all age groups will benefit from this class, I particularly recommend it for those, like me, over 50, when flexibility and core strength become more limited unless challenged.

I always wanted to learn to dance. But, of course, life got in the way. However, a year ago I decided to try Line Dancing class for exercise, for fun and "me" time.

I absolutely LOVE it. It has changed my world. Dancing is my therapy, my outlet, my new passion. In addition to Line Dancing, Joy created an adult Ballet Barre and Tap Dance class which is extremely gratifying and challenging.

Learning to dance has given me the confidence and self esteem I needed. It helps in all other aspects of my life as well.

Joy is an awesome teacher and mentor. Her studio is top notch! The floating dance floor does make a huge difference (easier on the knees and back). And with smaller class size, I am able to receive more individual instruction - much less intimidating than those larger classes filled with perfect people.

If learning to dance is on your "bucket list", don't wait - LEARN TO DANCE!!!!!!! At Dance with Joy Studio!!!!!!!
